Well, I was disappointed at the gwen armor, since much of it was reskins of earlier armor sets. Then I got the idea of new armor sets, a very elite kind of armor like fow (which a ton of people have now) Except instead of getting it in fow using ecto and shards, you'd get it in doa using the doa gems. The armor crafter guy would appear after you've killed mallyx (so you don't have the problem where the guy who's just there to craft his armor leaves your group before the end) I'd imagine it would have to take some huge amount of gems, say 200 of each kind for the whole set, and would look very similar to the armor the margonites wear (I've always thought the glowy purple guys looked kinda cool) I can't decide if it should look more like the regular margonites or the doa margonites with the different names (anar ki, su etc)

Basically, it's a money/gem sink for people who already have everything, in the same way that chaos gloves are an ecto sink (taking ecto out of game circulation) and would keep gem prices from totally tanking worse than they have already. Plus, I think it would be really cool armor, very different from what we have now. I know they won't really implement any new stuff now, but it would be kinda cool imho.

Like the idea of more armor, and an idea of another "elite armor set" would not be bad, however, for it being so "elite," it's rather harsh to those who don't have nightfall. It is a good money sink and a good place to put such a guy. I would say Tormented Armor would be better for DoA though.

Titan *changes look according to where you are, fire look/ice look/jungle look/sandy look/etc.*
Mursaat Armor *the caster's armor, not floating Jade*
Warden Armor
Shiro'ken Armor *would be made out of the stuff the shiro'kens are*
Margonite Armor *random parts of the body look like the margonite's energy parts, with their mask for head*
Tormented Armor
Vanguard Armor *regular version looks like the Ascalon Vanguard's armor, Elite version looks like the Ebon Vanguard's armor*

Yeah this would be nice, another "elite" set of armor that this time hopefully wouldn't look ugly as all hell for 90% of the models like Obsidian does. I really thought that along with the announcement of DoA there would be possibly an armor crafter there or something.

I would buy margonite armor for sure, especially on my paragon...need the wings!! lol

I think this has been discussed before tho...in fact I distinctly remember reading a thread about putting margonite armor in before, not sure where it is tho.

Matsif, you might mean the old "Bosses dropping armor sets" thread. Margonite would be included in that, among others.
